De Schaatsbaan Rotterdam (The Rotterdam Skating Rink) is open again, for the 12th time! This winter you can enjoy everything the skating rink has to offer from Saturday, November 23, 2024 to March 1, 2025. So also in January, get out your skates, gather your friends and enjoy a 400-metre track, the ice rink, several cool events and of course hot chocolate!
We'll stay in the skating world for a while with this nice tip for the first weekend of January. From January 3, Holiday on Ice will be in Rotterdam Ahoy with beautiful shows full of skating fun. With no fewer than five shows, including afternoon performances on Saturday and Sunday, there is plenty of choice to experience this magical show on January 3, 4 or 5.

Jeugdtheater Hofplein organizes something really fun every year: the WinterFEESTival. During this theater festival you embrace winter with three days of a cheerful programme with theater workshops, creative activities, performances and more! From Thursday, January 2 to Saturday, January 4, Hofplein is open from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Are you there? Don't forget to buy a ticket!
Every month, Museum Rotterdam organizes a special experience: a museum visit with your dog. How fun is that!? On Sunday, January 19, all Rotterdam residents and their four-legged friends are welcome to discover the rich history of our city. During these special dog-friendly days, dogs of all shapes and sizes are welcome.
The museum provides additional facilities, such as water bowls and dog snacks, so that both owners and four-legged friends feel at home. Public guides with experience in dealing with dogs are ready to help with questions or guidance. It is important that dogs remain on a leash and that owners clean up any accidents themselves.
Regular visitors are of course also welcome on these dog-friendly days!
Are you looking for a unique outing? Then Rembrandt van Wine might be exactly what you are looking for! During this special experience you paint in the dark with neon paint, while enjoying unlimited wine. Every weekend in January you can participate in this creative and fun activity.
While you paint with neon paint in an atmospheric, semi-dark setting, illuminated by black lights, you enjoy a good glass of wine and pleasant company.
