On August 24, you can party in the iconic Van Nelle Fabriek during the new Audio Obscura festival. This event presents a line-up with both international artists and local Rotterdam talents. And it's extra special, as it is the first time that the Van Nelle Fabriek is the setting for a festival!
Audio Obscura is known for bringing together unique talent with impressive locations and spectacular productions. As a leading promoter of electronic music, they push the boundaries of nightlife by bringing groundbreaking dance music to unusual, breathtaking and often forbidden locations worldwide. From concert halls to train stations, museums and more.
Audio Obscura announces their very first festival after their tenth anniversary. It promises to offer a versatile musical experience at a special location: the Van Nelle Fabriek, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
During your visit to Audio Obscura you can enjoy the innovative sounds and unique sets of Adriatique, Héctor Oaks, Dax J b2b Daria Kolosova, Benwal, Nedda Sou and Jetti & Post, among others. Previously announced were big international names such as The Martinez Brothers, Dixon, Carlita, Chris Stussy, AMÉMÉ, Partiboi69 and DJ Holographic, and local talents such as Benny Rodrigues, Cincity, Moody Mehran, Suze Ijó and Lucky Done Gone.

At Audio Obscura, the location is at least as important as the line-up. The organization has made a name for itself with parties in unique places, such as the Concertgebouw, the Euromast and the bicycle tunnel under the Rijksmuseum.
Now they have added the Van Nelle Fabriek, an impressive building that is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This is also a first for the Van Nelle Fabriek: it is the first time that the site and associated buildings are used for a festival. The location offers space for multiple stages, both inside the factory and outside under the characteristic diagonal transport bridges that connect the buildings.
Audio Obscura says: “Over the past 10 years we have intensively searched for a festival site that matches our vision. The Van Nelle Fabriek is known as an example of Dutch architecture, where Rotterdam's cultural heritage is celebrated alongside the city's industrial design and creativity. We are very proud of the fact that we can organize our first Audio Obscura Festival in Rotterdam, in the Van Nelle Factory.”
