Do you already know the new hotspot on the Rijnhavenkade? On the Container Stairs you can enjoy a versatile cultural programme! In addition, the Container Stairs is also literally a staircase to the roof terrace of the Nieuwe Luxor Theater.
The Containertrap is the new hotspot on the Rijnhavenkade. Here, (theatre) makers are given the space to present their work and experiment, while visitors are the first to meet these emerging talents. But there is more: the Containertrap is also literally used as a staircase to the roof terrace of the Nieuwe Luxor Theater. Here you have a fantastic view of the transformation into the renewed Rijnhaven.
The new hotspot opened for the first time on October 25, 26 and 27 and there was a festive celebration! For example, during the opening weekend, creative workshops were organized by Diergaarde Blijdorp, Women Connected, Xclusiv and ALLCAPS.
Visitors could participate in the performance tour, R&B yoga and the energetic morning rave. There was also live music from artists such as Rotem, Jeremy Garcia, Bernadette Pires and the Infinity Queens. Games such as Werewolves of Wakkerdam or Dox & Dragons were played in the top container of the Container Stairs.
It was a successful opening weekend and a taste of what will be possible in the Container Stairs.
