Add Tuesday 4 June to your calendar! Then Rotterdam Ahoy will be hosting Impact Night, a brand new event that brings thousands of visitors together to make an impact on various social issues.
It will be an unforgettable night with performances by international star Rita Ora and Dutch artists such as Son Mieux and Kraantje Pappie. In addition, every visitor can make an impact directly themselves in the unique Impact Zone.
Impact Night is, of course, all about making an impact on the world. As soon as you enter, it starts with this, in the Impact Zone. Here, various organisations, including WWF, KRO-NCRV, MindUS, Danspaleis and JoinUS join forces to get every visitor directly involved in various activities. Think of initiatives around loneliness, climate, equal opportunities, mental health and diversity. The Impact Zone can be found throughout Ahoy and offers a unique opportunity for visitors to make a direct impact themselves. Partly thanks to the Impact Zone, 300,000 impact moments will take place during the evening alone, and that is only the beginning.
During Impact Night, the world famous Rita Ora will take the stage. But homegrown artists such as Son Mieux, Kraantje Pappie and Numidia also take the stage.
Derek Otte, the well-known Rotterdam spoken word artist, will also take the stage during the Impact Night. Derek Otte, whose roots run deep in Rotterdam, will speak about the power of the individual to bring about change. The supporting programme is enriched in collaboration with the Rotterdam organization Quardin. Quardin offers a platform for young people to work together on everyone's talent. Two emerging Rotterdam artists will perform from Quardin, Vlins and Laura Yasmin. These local talents will take the audience into an amazing show and will of course perform their well-known hit 'Voice Sound'.
The hosts of the evening are anything but of secondary importance: although they do not bring music, they do deliver important, impactful messages. Kris Kross Amsterdam leader Yuki Kempees and presenter Gwen van Poorten, among others, will shape the evening by addressing topics and points of view that will open your eyes. In short, an evening full of spectacle that you don't want to miss!
Impact Night will take place for the very first time in 2024 on Tuesday 4 June at Rotterdam Ahoy from 20:00 to 22:30.
