This year the third edition of the popular Rotterdam Night Walk will take place. On Wednesday evening, December 27, you will experience a unique evening walk through the atmospheric, illuminated streets of the city. A unique way to celebrate your Third Day of Christmas!
This year, the organization of the Rotterdam Night Walk is taking a different approach. The start and finish that previously took place in the city centre now takes place in Delfshaven and the west of the city. This way you will discover another part of beautiful Rotterdam.
The evening walk can be followed for either 7 km or 12 km and starts between 5:45 PM and 7:00 PM, depending on when it starts to get dark. Together with the fun entertainment along the route, you will experience a unique and fairytale experience during the walk!
But there is more. In addition to your starting ticket, you will receive refreshments along the way and a nice souvenir at the finish.
This year, the Jarige Job Foundation is the charity of the Rotterdam Night Walk. This foundation is committed to families in the Netherlands where a birthday with gifts, visitors and treats at school is not self-evident for the children. They cannot celebrate their birthday because there is little or no money at home. On the most beautiful day of the year, these children do not receive any presents, there are no balloons and they cannot have treats at school. They sometimes report themselves sick out of shame.
The Jarige Job Foundation helps these children by giving them a birthday box worth €35. It contains everything you need for a real birthday, at home and at school. Because every child deserves a birthday!
Every year, more than 100,000 children celebrate their birthday with the help of Jarige Job. The participants of the Rotterdam Night Walk can contribute to this. Participants can support the Jarige Job Foundation by making a donation in the registration form.
