This year, De Grote Schijn will take place from October 24 to November 10. During this fifth edition you will be taken on an enchanting route of approximately two kilometres through the Kralingse Bos, where technology, music and nature magically merge. Whispering trees, enchanting light projections and compelling sounds create a magical spectacle.
Director Christophe Van Hostauijen gives a sneak peek of this special anniversary edition on the Grote Schijn website: “This year we will be working with many light, sound and network technologies to make everything even more engaging and impressive. Visitors can look forward to a surreal audio experience that will immerse them in an almost cinematic world as soon as they walk through the gate.”
On Saturday, October 5, between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, the Koopgoot will be transformed into a real 'Dogwalk' for the second time! Proud owners and their dogs show their creativity on the green carpet, with the chance to win great prizes. Whether your dog shines in a striking outfit or is just being himself, everyone is welcome to participate.

Afrovibes Festival is celebrating its 21st anniversary this year! The festival takes place from October 2 to 13 in several cities and is in Rotterdam at Maaspodium and Theater Zuidplein. Afrovibes brings theater, dance, music and more from current makers and artists from both the African continent and the African diaspora in Europe.
This edition, Afrovibes presents a programme around the theme of Belonging: a sense of connection. Based on this theme, Afrovibes is shaping this year's program with performances that focus on North Africa and the (North) African diaspora in the Netherlands.

In October, a Uniqlo location will finally open in Rotterdam, in the former Zara building on the corner of Lijnbaan and Binnenwegplein. The store has a total of 1,550 square metres, spread over two floors. That means a lot of clothes and accessories!
