On Thursday 30 January, alderman Said Kasmi will announce who the newest city poet and successor to Elfie Tromp will be. A festive unveiling, where you first listen to a musical poetry performance, after which the city poet will be unveiled in a festive manner.
The evening begins with the final performance of the musical poetry performance “It depends on where you stand”, in which Tromp, together with musicians Keimpe de Jong and Bruno Ferro Xavier da Silva, presents the city poems of the past year.
After this performance, alderman Said Kasmi will make the announcement. Following this, an introduction will take place with the new city poet who will delight our city with poems about Rotterdam's current affairs over the next two years.
