The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra launches 'Give in Harmony'. This great initiative gives you, as a ticket buyer, the opportunity to contribute to a ticket for someone who does not have the financial resources to do so.
For the 'Give in Harmony' initiative, there is a collaboration with, among others, the Rotterdam Food Bank, Mano Foundation and Dress for Succes to give everyone a wonderful evening out.
Attending a classical concert is a true luxury. It provides relaxation, mental relief and takes you out of the daily grind of life. A luxury that is not attainable for everyone. In order to offer everyone a beautiful evening, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra has created 'Give in Harmony'. Inspired by the 'Give an Encore' project by the United Performing Arts Festivals. And in line with the concept of the 'delayed cup of coffee', this initiative gives ticket buyers the opportunity to contribute to an extra ticket. This offers the opportunity to people who would otherwise lack the financial resources to enjoy a concert.
The 'Give in Harmony' initiative is becoming a reality thanks to the help of various partners. For example, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra collaborates with various Rotterdam socially involved organizations, including the Mano Foundation, IMC Weekend School, Food Bank Rotterdam and Dress for Succes.
Delighting someone else with a concert ticket is simple. Ticket buyers can choose to contribute an amount of €5 or more to this charity when paying for their own concert tickets. Thanks to this contribution, the orchestra, in collaboration with, for example, the Mano Foundation, can make refugee children happy with a visit to a family performance or the volunteers of Food Bank Rotterdam get an unforgettable evening out.
