There are countless fun activities in Rotterdam for children. Are you a bit lost? We share a selection of the best things to do with children in our city.
Did you know that you can play marbles in the Koopgoot? A fun activity in between shopping, because with a five-meter track along all kinds of iconic buildings in the city, it is the most Rotterdam marble track there is!
Don't have any marbles? When you spend money in one of the Koopgoot stores, you will receive a marble, which you can use in the Rotterdam Knikkergoot. After playing, you can of course take the marble home with you, but it can also be handed in at the donation point next to the track. €0.50 is donated to the Friends of Sophia Foundation for each marble. A great cause, since playing outside and playing marbles is unfortunately not a given for every child.
The children's interactive exhibition 'Splash! The future of the sea' is the long-awaited successor to 'Professor Splash'. For more than thirty years, children have been learning about the maritime world through play with Professor Splash. This iconic exhibition is now making way for a new exhibition that sheds light on life with water in a unique way.
In the new exhibition, young visitors are fully immersed in the fascinating underwater world. The new exhibition allows children aged four to twelve to think about the opportunities that the sea offers to tackle the challenges surrounding climate, pollution and the energy transition.
Taking a break from shopping during lunch? Treat your kids to a meal from FC Kip. A place where they will be entertained for a while, because in addition to the slide that takes you to the restaurant, there is now also a kids playground!
Experience the ultimate winter with your children at Schaatsbaan Rotterdam. Is the 400-meter track still a bit intimidating? Then take your children to the fun track. Here they will learn to skate in no time, thanks to the handy seals that they can hold on to or sit on while you push.
