A new hotspot has opened in Central Plaza on the Weena in Rotterdam: Beers & Barrels! At this cool hotspot you can enjoy various beers, cocktails, (dry-age) meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes.
With the opening of this new restaurant, catering group Restaurant Company Europe (RCE), which includes Beers&Barrels, is giving a new meaning to the striking corner building on Weena. "In recent months, we have worked very hard to create an awesome new place, where both beer and real cocktail lovers will feel at home," says Sandra van Halderen (CEO RCE).
After the three existing Beers&Barrels locations in Utrecht and Breda, it is now time for a location in Rotterdam. However, the fourth Beers&Barrels location is certainly not a copy-paste of the existing locations.
The restaurant formula has recently undergone a major restyling, adding a more refined and mature layer to the robust Beers&Barrels. The logo and house style have also been completely renewed.
Rotterdam is therefore the first location with this new style. Although the Rotterdam Beers & Barrels does have the recognizable, tough Beers&Barrels DNA. Sandra Van Halderen: "In addition to the familiar tap tables, guests will find smaller tap booths where they can tap their own beer in a more intimate setting, and eye-catchers such as the dry-age cabinets and the iconic barrel room should not be missed. We are also very proud of our speakeasy cocktail bar 'the Serpent', where we will serve amazing cocktails. Great vibes, with botanical influences and really something different than our regular Beers&Barrels guests are used to."
In addition to the many (craft) beers and cocktails, the dishes particularly steal the show on the menu. Think of well-stocked share platters, tasty burgers, roasted chicken and traditional dry-age meat dishes. Not a meat eater? Fortunately, there is a wide choice of tasty fish, vegetarian and vegan dishes.
