Since April this year, Rotterdam has an official Ray-Ban shop, a real asset to the city! This store is not to be missed; the striking, reflective red interior immediately draws you in.
We stopped by to have a look inside. Assistant manager Merve Seme told us more about the collection, the most popular sunglasses, what you can expect as a visitor and more.
As soon as you enter the Ray-Ban store, you will immediately notice the enormous selection. Frames hang in a row on every wall, from timeless classics to the latest models. The sleek presentation of the glasses against the shiny, modern red background gives the store an artistic appearance that shows off the range perfectly. You will find everything here: from iconic models such as the Round (since 1989), Clubmaster (since 1986) and of course the Wayfarer (since 1952), to children's (sun)glasses and the latest designs. In addition, there are special collaborations, such as the collection with Ferrari and the striking Reverse collection in collaboration with none other than Lenny Kravitz.
What are the most popular glasses? Merve says that there are many popular models, with the classics always continuing to sell well: "But of course we also have popular newer models, such as the 'TikTok glasses'." Ray-Ban itself shared a video of the RB4441D Bio-Based model, and it went completely viral on TikTok. Merve continues: "The brown variant was particularly popular, which is now completely sold out. But we still have other beautiful colours of the glasses, such as black."
The store offers more than just (sun)glasses. Did you know, for example, that you can have your eyes measured? Merve says: "Our specially trained opticians are ready to check your eyes and measure for (sun)glasses. You can make an appointment or just walk in. Behind the store we have a quiet area for the eye test. We can make almost all prescription glasses and sunglasses, with the exception of a few designs. Sometimes people already have prescription glasses, but they have forgotten what they were. That is why we also have a handy device to measure the prescription measure your current glasses."
Is the large collection making it hard to make a decision? No problem! Merve reassures: "We work with a super friendly team that always helps you find the perfect model. When choosing the right frame, I always pay attention to your face shape and hair colour. With a gift, this is of course a bit more difficult, but even then we will figure it out together. We are always there for you!"
Do you already have Ray-Ban glasses and do you want to have them repaired? That's no problem either. "Our employees can easily repair glasses. And if it concerns more complicated problems, we call in the optician."
