From October 5 to 11 it's time for the Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week! During one week, several places in our city centre will focus on sustainable fashion. And you can be there!
Based on the themes Reduce, Repair, Rethink, Recycle, Resection, Reuse and Repurpose, this week you will see what developments there are in the field of sustainable fashion and how we as people can contribute to this in a very simple way.
In addition, an experience centre has been created in OX, the new hotspot in Rotterdam Centre. In addition to OX, there are great programmes at many other locations, such as fashion shows, documentaries, podcasts, conversations with experts, pop-up stores, exhibitions, spoken word, workshops and a 7-day clothing exchange.
On the website you will find the extensive programme of the DSFW, including dates and locations. For example, you can participate in the ecoprint/bundle dye workshop or rediscover your wardrobe with couture designer Rosalie Key. There is also the High Hopes exhibition, in which The Swapshop takes you through the recycling process of their non-swapable clothing. At The Swapshop it is also possible to exchange your clothes; you give your former favourites a new life and reduce your own environmental impact by swapping new favourites instead of buying them.
And did you know that participation is completely free? For some parts you just need to reserve a spot.
