A quarter of the proceeds will be donated to War Child. The organization is committed to children growing up in war zones and provides essential psychosocial support.
HEMA and War Child hope that the pajamas will be sold en masse again this year, so that - just like in previous years - a solid amount can be raised. This allows them to make a meaningful contribution to the important work of War Child. The pajamas for 2024 are available in a stylish green and white checked pattern and are available for the whole family, even the dog! The promotion runs until the end of the year.
On November 19, a special photo campaign took place in the HEMA branch Rotterdam Centre. Top photographer William Rutten captured families in their new pajamas, amid an atmospheric winter setting. The photos were developed on site by the HEMA photo service, so that participants not only contributed to charity, but also took home a wonderful memory.
"It is heartbreaking to see that so many children experience horrible situations in war zones every day. Of course we know that we cannot stop those wars. But it is important for us to help these children process their traumatic experiences and provide of a new start. We want to give them the opportunity to dream and just be children again. With this campaign we want to contribute to War Child's mission," says Wilma Veldman, Chief Product Officer (CPO) at HEMA.
