It's time again for the most beautiful marathon of them all! We are of course talking about the NN Marathon in Rotterdam. Every year, countless sports enthusiasts come to the city for an unforgettable experience. In addition, there are hundreds of thousands of enthusiastic spectators along the sidelines who provide a real party.
The Marathon 2025 will take place this year on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April. Do you have a starting number? Then we wish you the best of luck! Would you like to come and encourage the rest? Great! Find a spot along the course and cheer on the runners as hard as you can.
Celebrate King's Day 2025 in Rotterdam! On Saturday 26 April 2024, the streets of Rotterdam will once again be coloured orange. A day earlier than our king's birthday, because this year his birthday falls on a Sunday. Nevertheless, it is time for an old-fashioned party, a tour of the flea markets or of course a day of shopping in Rotterdam!
We know better than anyone that Rotterdam is unique. This applies especially on King's Day, because the shops in Rotterdam Centre are open regularly on Saturday, April 26. This means that the shops open their doors at 9:00 or 10:00 am. Are you coming for a day of shopping in the festive centre?
Would you rather celebrate the day with a good festival? Every year a few popular parties are planned where there will be music, drinks, fun and food all day long. As always, you celebrate the Kralingse Bos Festival l in the Kralingse Bos. For euphoric rave, rattling techno and hypersonic house, go to Oranjebitter in the Roel Langerakpark.
Of course there will also be a lot of parties and festivals in other places in the city. Think of Stadhuisplein, Kingsland in the Zuiderpark, Kroonjuweel in the Keilecafé and a great party in the Garden of Bird.

Fancy getting on the water with your children? Then Kids Marina in Leuvehaven, behind the Maritime Museum, is a good option. This amazing place will open again at April 5th!
In this great water attraction, children are at the helm and can steer the boats. A super fun way to learn more about the port and its functions and vessels. There are different types of boats: a fire boat, police boat, container boat, tour boat and a harbour service boat.
Each boat trip takes 15 minutes. The model boats are powered by electric motors and are easy for children to control. Of course, parents can also come along as passengers!
