New shops and reopenings on the Lijnbaan
Looking for a new place to eat or shop in Rotterdam Centre? With the opening of these hotspots, the city is even more fun!
With successful locations in Utrecht and Amsterdam, Rotterdam could not be missed on the list! This popular karaoke bar has been in Rotterdam since December, near the Hofplein fountain.
In Duke of Tokyo you feel like you're in, you guessed it, Tokyo! Neon, murals, light boards and 3D art make the space atmospheric and Instagram-worthy. In addition to singing in eight private karaoke rooms and sipping the tastiest cocktails, eating in the associated restaurant 'Izakaya DUKI' makes your evening complete.
Neapolitan pizzas to die for! Pizza Beppe is already a great success in thirteen other cities. Rotterdam has recently been added to the list and is the place where you can enjoy delicious Italian food.
It is clear that Pizza Beppe's pizzas are extra special. Because Pizza Beppe is the first in the Netherlands to be certified by the prestigious Neapolitan “Associazione Verace Pizza Napolitana” (AVPN): a Commission that guarantees the authenticity and quality of Neapolitan pizza. A quality mark that you don't just get, and you can taste it!
It was time for a second location of this popular restaurant. Because if you want to be guaranteed a table, you must book in time! With their new location on Karel Doormanstraat, where DoDo used to be located, there is enough space on two floors to provide every Italy lover with a good meal.
What can you expect from the menu? In addition to their pizzas, they have delicious starters here, such as burrata, bruschetta and Arancini, and authentic pasta and risotto. But fish, meat and vegetarian dishes are also on the menu.
A new addition to the Coolsingel! Restaurant Café Erasmus recently opened in the heart of the city. A classic grand café, where you can enjoy dishes such as a 12-hour meal, the famous Caesar salad, boeuf Bourguignon and an Erasmus hamburger. Would you like to do it a little more chic? Then choose the tuna tartare, sea bream fillet or oysters.
Thanks to the large windows and natural colours and materials, it has become an accessible café. Perfect to fill your stomach and rest your legs between shopping!
Now that the Sacha on the Lijnbaan has closed its doors, the space is being taken over by this well-known nail polish brand. In mid-March you can shop Pink Gellac products here, such as nail polish in all colours of the rainbow, nail art tools and special lamps. A pink store where you will find everything to make your nails look tip top!
You may have already spotted the construction fences, because for some time now they have been building a mega-large Nike Store on the Lijnbaan, next to the John Reed Fitness. Also called the flagship store! Not only will the store be completely renovated on the inside, the outside will also get a sleek look.
It is still unclear exactly when we can shop our Nike items here. But it has to happen sometime this spring!
It will not have escaped your notice: the largest ZARA in the world has opened in Rotterdam! The spacious corner building on the Coolsingel, where the C&A was previously located, is now filled with the enormous collection of this Spanish chain.
