Starting the new year with a fresh dive? Schaatsbaan Rotterdam and Man Met Bril coffee join forces this New Year's Eve to arrange an ice-cold round. A round on the skating rink of course!
As a real Rotterdammer, you naturally want to do the New Year's dive in our own city. Scheveningen is quite far and Nesselande is always possible next year. The alternative? An ice-cold lap in your speedo or bikini in the Rotterdam tunnel!
While enjoying a cup of coffee from Man Met Bril coffee and of course a nice oliebol you skate around the ice rink on 1 January.
From 11:00 you are welcome for coffee and an oliebol and at 11:30 you jointly enter the ice of the 400-meter track. Put on your swimsuit under your warm suit, to make things easy. Do you want to warm up afterwards? Then order a nice plate of stew or smoked sausage. Or of course a beer; that also warms you up well.
Buying a ticket for the symbolic amount of €2.23 is necessary to monitor the flow of visitors. With this ticket you can spend the whole day at the Skating Rink.
