Park your car for free at one of the 15 P+R locations outside the centre and easily transfer to public transport. This way you can travel to Rotterdam Centre quickly, affordably and without stress. The Municipality of Rotterdam is committed to improving the quality of life and accessibility of Rotterdam. That is why 15 P+R areas have been created, providing more than 5,500 parking spaces. These sites are located outside the centre and offer a direct connection to public transport.
Now you obviously don't want to drive all the way to a P+R site, only to find out that it is full. To prevent this, a handy tool has been developed. This shows you exactly how many places are still available.

Another very efficient way to travel to Rotterdam Centre is of course by bicycle! This way you can avoid busy traffic, get some exercise and catch some extra rays of sunshine on good days. Fortunately, Rotterdam Centre has several bicycle areas to store your bicycle safely and under supervision. And also nice: they are all free.
On Wednesday, October 16, the new Koopgoot bicycle parking area was festively opened. With space for more than 900 bicycles, this is now the third largest bicycle parking area in Rotterdam!
The entrance to the bicycle parking is located on Westewagenstraat, on the -1 floor of the AIR building (formerly V&D). This means that the parking facility is just a few metres from the Koopgoot, ideally located close to all shops and restaurants in Rotterdam Centre.
The parking area offers space for various types of bicycles: standard bicycles, electric bicycles, bicycles with crate or child seat, and two-wheeled cargo bicycles. In addition, sixteen free storage and charging points are available for the batteries of electric bicycles.
Also good to know: there is a public toilet available in this facility.
