During the Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week, The Swapshop organizes an inspiring event. On October 11, from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, you are very welcome at High Hopes: Feminine Power for Change in the W70 Club (Weena 70, above The Swapshop in Rotterdam).
Monique Drent, one of the organizers, says: “We have put together a programme full of fun and inspiration. We answer questions such as: what are the best and most powerful tools for change? And how can we use it to make ourselves and the world around us more beautiful and balanced? And yes, female power plays a big role in that, but this is certainly not a ladies-only event.”
The evening programme is full of highlights, including the screening of the mini-documentary High Hopes and inspiring talks by, among others, Odair Peirera, the new Fashion Mayor of Rotterdam, and changemaker Serife Dikbas.
In addition, the new collection of Fabulous Fungi's x The Swapshop will be launched, and you can participate in the Confident Fashion Choices workshop. While DJ Veinteunas provides soulful vibes, you can participate in a free clothing swap organized by The Swapshop.
In short, it promises to be a festive evening in which change is central. Come by, be inspired and contribute to a more sustainable fashion world!
Entrance is completely free, but please bring one of your old favourite pieces of clothing as an entry ticket to the event. This garment will be used for the mini workshop and the clothing exchange at the end of the evening. The nicer the clothes you bring, the cooler the collection will be for the exchange!
You can reserve a free spot via the button below!
At The Swapshop you exchange your former favourite clothing items for "swaps" (points). You can then use this to score clothing with a 50% discount in all Swapshop stores. This way you give clothing a second life and you shop affordable and eco-friendly.
