Rotterdam Centre is made extra cozy every winter. Decorations, music, discounts and this year: dancing lights. The last weekend of October, when winter time starts, parts of the centre are enriched with beautiful glittery squares.
The idea of turning the squares in Rotterdam Centre into dancing spectacles, is in collaboration with Mothership. To ensure that the shopping streets are an experience for everyone, Mothership works with the latest technology to make the squares shine.
But where can you admire these dancing lights? You will find the first lights on the square between the Lijnbaan, the van Oldenbarneveltplaats and the Koopgoot. If you continue on the Lijnbaan, towards the Korte Lijnbaan and the Stadhuisplein, you will find the second light square.
Without you probably realizing it, Mothership has been responsible for a number of cool concepts in Rotterdam. Did you know, for example, that the paintings of the Markthal were supervised by Mothership? But also the Bobbing Forest and the light show during the World Port Days. They ensure that everyone can experience the value of art. And so will the visitors of Rotterdam Centre!
The lights can be admired until January 8 2023. When it starts to get dark, they start sparkling. They automatically turn off after midnight. Will you come and see them shine?
