After 21 years, Roze Zaterdag (Pink Saturday) returns to Rotterdam as part of Rotterdam Pride! Visit this special event on June 18 on the Coolsingel in the centre of Rotterdam.
Roze Zaterdag is the oldest pride in the Netherlands. A one-day festival to bring the LGBTQIA+ community from Rotterdam and the whole of the Netherlands together. The focus is on celebrating where they have come as a community, but also on what still needs to be done to make Rotterdam a safe space for everyone.
Every year the Roze Zaterdag festival takes place in a different city. So it's really an honour and very special that after 21 years it takes place in Rotterdam Centre! And in such an iconic location as the Coolsingel.
None other than singer-songwriter Duncan Laurence is the opening act of Roze Zaterdag. He won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2019 with his platinum single 'Arcade'. Since then, he has released a successful album and toured internationally for his performances.
The entrance gate to the festival site is made up of containers and is called Container Village. Be sure to stick around, because here there is room for art exhibitions, a mini market, meeting places, an information market, small-scale catering and smaller events.
It will be a big party on the Coolsingel on June 18th. And another big plus? The festival is completely free to visit! See you there?
