It's that time again on September 6. Then the World Port Days will start for the 47th time. Let yourself be carried away by the grandeur of the port of Rotterdam from September 6 to 8!
This year's World Port Days programme is once again full of great activities. Visitors of all ages can discover what's happening in the port today and learn all about its rich past. As in previous years, the most impressive ships moor along the quays around the Erasmus Bridge.
One of the highlights is the Saturday evening show on September 7. Enjoy spectacular performances, boat shows, special effects and, as icing on the cake, beautiful fireworks. September starts with a bang full of unforgettable events!
From September 1 to 8, it's time for ALL CAPS 2024. In recent years, the festival has brought art to various locations in our city, including beautiful murals in the Afrikaanderwijk and Feijenoord. Street artists, both local and international, have transformed the walls of buildings into works of art, thus enriching Rotterdam's neighborhoods.
In 2024, ALL CAPS will shift its focus to the Rotterdam Beverwaard district, where they will further expand their cultural and social impact. This is a new step in their ambition to make a positive contribution to the transformation of South Rotterdam. From September 1 to 8 you can see all artists live at work in Beverwaard, Rotterdam!
On September 21, the Kralingse Bos will transform into a vibrant festival site. During A Day At The Park you will enjoy a mix of house, tech-house, techno and urban, performed by leading artists.
Although the full line-up has not yet been announced, names such as Benny Rodrigues, David Vunk, Michel de Hey and Silvie Loto have already been confirmed. Besides the music, there is plenty of delicious food to be found. In short, everything for an atmospheric festival day in the Kralingse Bos!
The Wonderlijk Delfshaven theaterfestival takes place on the weekend of September 20, 21 and 22 in Historical Delfshaven. The theme of this year's festival is VUUR (FIRE); that sounds exciting!
During the festival you walk with a guide from one performance to another, each performed in special monumental buildings. These are beautiful locations, such as a house, office building or the attic of a museum, where you normally cannot just enter. This gives you a unique view of the Historic Delfshaven area.
In addition to the theater tour, visitors can enjoy a theater dinner at Stadsbrouwerij De Pelgrim. And in collaboration with children's studio Punt5, a painting competition is organized on Friday afternoon.
