Everyone has heard of it: the largest indoor jazz festival in the world! On July 12, 13 and 14, Rotterdam Ahoy will once again be the home base for this unforgettable event. In addition to new and hidden talent, there will be performances by the greatest artists. This year there are big names on the programme again, such as Sting, Joss Stone, Black Pumas, Anouk & Metropole Orkest, Brittany Howard and more.
On July 7, 2024, the Metropolis Festival will come to Rotterdam for the 35th time. During this festival you will meet new international and Rotterdam artists. This means a day full of new music and emerging talent in the field of performance, film and street art. Metropolis will remain free of charge in 2024!
After years of planning, building and testing, RiF010 will open on Saturday, July 6! And this is celebrated in a completely appropriate way with the surfing festival Rotterdam Surf Open.
Everyone is welcome at this surfing competition, whether you come to surf or cheer on. During the competitions, a certified jury is present to judge the surfers. Several surfers have already registered through sponsors O'Neill, Red Bull and Breitling. This way you can watch the real top talents at work on July 6.
Are you just coming to have some fun? There will be good music, snacks, drinks and a good view of the surfers from the quay all day long. Entrance is free, so come along!
On July 18 it is time for the thirteenth edition of the Eendracht Festival in Rotterdam! The festival is for real music lovers who not only agree with the top 40 lists, but are also open to something new. Here they offer a stage for talents with expertise in genres such as rock, hip hop, jazz, EDM and much more.
The Eendracht Festival is located on the Eendrachtsplein, among others. But surrounding creative locations are also becoming part of the Rotterdam music phenomenon. There are stages at WORM, Heilige Boontjes, Rotown, Arminius, Boomgaardsstraat.
Since 1984, Rotterdam has been the proud home of Summer Carnival in the Netherlands. This year there will be plenty of partying again on July 26 and 27.
However, this year will be slightly different than previous years. Due to additional requirements from the municipality, there will be no Lightning Parade and Warming Up on Friday evening this year. Therefore, in 2024 only the street parade, the Mercado and the Rueda de Casino will take place. Still enough reason for a party!
